To foster better financial habits among the younger generation, GCash has launched “GCash Jr.,” offering e-wallets and debit cards for kids with parental controls, and “GSave Jr.,” a savings account for kids.
These features, launched during this year’s FutureCast event, empower children to manage their finances responsibly under parental supervision.
In 2024, GCash will expand its reach to 16 countries, including the USA, Canada, and several European nations. The “GTravel” feature streamlines travel booking and insurance, while the “GCash Tourist” product provides foreigners with access to local payment features. Soon, travelers to Europe will also be able to digitize and claim travel tax refunds with GCash.
New borrowing and payment options
GCash introduced “Borrow on the Spot,” allowing users to instantly reassess their credit limits. For daily commutes, “Tap To Pay” offers NFC-powered payments, while “Watch Pay,” in partnership with Huawei, enables payments via smartwatches, making transactions seamless and convenient.
These innovations underscore GCash’s dedication to providing secure, accessible, and innovative financial solutions, empowering Filipinos to better manage their finances and build a brighter future. Experience the future of fintech by downloading the GCash app from the Huawei App Gallery, Google Play Store, or App Store.
In May last year, GCash was named “Best Mobile Wallet 2024” by Pan Finance, a trusted source of global financial intelligence that currently boasts a readership of over 200,000 across 150 countries.
