A recent study by Forbes Advisor ranked Manila as the fifth riskiest city for tourists globally, based on key safety areas, including health, crime, infrastructure, digital security, personal security, travel safety, and natural disasters.

Manila’s overall risk score of 91.49 placed it among the top five riskiest destinations for tourists globally.

Rounding up the Top 5 are Caracas in Venezuela (1), Karachi in Pakistan (2), Yangon in Myanmar (3), and Lagos in Nigeria (4). Each of these cities presents its own set of risks and challenges for visitors on a global scale, Forbes Advisor said.

The Forbes Advisor analysis–which looked at 60 international cities across the seven key safety areas–painted a concerning picture of Manila’s tourist image.
