It is a fact that investors who want to open a business in the Philippines are having a rough time because of the tedious processes due to bureaucratic procedures.

Nevertheless, the arrival of vOffice (Virtual Office) in the Philippines eight years ago gave hope to investors and professionals who want to do business in the Philippines.

Aside from providing a virtual workplace, vOffice is also a provider of core office functions  ((Formal Office Address, Receptionist & Call Answering Service, Mail Receiving & Forwarding, Meeting Rooms & Workspaces) on a fixed price basis.

Further, vOffice also offers Company Incorporation Services, Accounting and Tax Services, Legal Consultation and Trademark Registration.

Importance of a business space

Albert Go, founder of vOffice, told reporters in a recent interview that it is a rewarding experience to be able to provide a space for entrepreneurs and help companies start their operations in the country.

“What makes vOffice a standout is that it provides business solutions and enables them to do business easier,” Goh said, on the sidelines of the opening of the company’s eight branch in Sun Plaza, Mandaluyong City.

“Space is just actually one part of our business. We also offer accounting, tax filing even visa processing, legal support,” Goh added.

Mandaluyong branch

For the Mandaluyong branch, Goh said vOffice is working closely with the City Government of Mandaluyong and other offices through their partners like Sun Plaza.

He pointed out that establishment of a local presence  helps businesses develop their presence. “Space is just actually one part of our business. We also offer accounting, tax filing, even visa processing, legal support,” he said.

“It means you can have your office in 24 hours, it means you can have your business card, a website that allows you to get started easily,” Goh stressed.

Goh said virtual offices were getting recognition even during the pre-pandemic days because the best function of virtual offices is to allow businesses to have a registered and formal address at a very low cost. “Once you have that foundation you can start doing business,” he said.

Regional presence

Goh said 70% of their clients are Filipinos. He stressed that vOffice is a standout from other virtual offices because of  its wide network within the Asean region and Australia. “We offer  the business solutions together with the space,” he said.

So far, vOffice is serving 48,000 businesses in Asean and Australia which has a good mix of accounting, IT experts and  engineers.

Goh said vOffice plans to open five more branches and smaller satellite offices outside Metro Manila which he said are going to be “closer to the people.” Most of the businesses and the economy right now are recovering from Covid.I think our business is in a good position,” he said.

“I think what we’re offering right now is what the people want right now. You can work outside anywhere in the country but you can also have an office for your meetings for formality and other office matters,” Goh explained.

vOffice established its first branch 15 years ago in Melbourne, Australia. vOffice later established presence in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines with    8 branches and still growing.
