Tetr College of Business, a first-of-its-kind global business school, announced the composition and profile of its first undergraduate global cohort.
This diverse cohort of 80+ dynamic young leaders includes climate activists, venture-backed entrepreneurs, social media influencers, global TEDx speakers, and national chess champions.
Hailing from across the world, the maiden batch features students from 40 countries including the US, India, Turkey, Poland, UK, UAE, Germany, South Korea, Japan, Italy and Singapore.
With the launch of its global business program, Tetr has attracted over 15,000 applications from the South East Asian region alone.
Students were selected through a rigorous process that included an application form and the unique AI-powered ‘Tetr Trial’, a 45-minute evaluation which tests candidates on critical thinking, business acumen, entrepreneurial pursuits, academics, and extracurricular activities. Also part of the selection process were interviews with industry leaders such as Dr. Edward Rogers, Former Chief Knowledge Officer at NASA; Viney Sawhney, Professor at Harvard University; and Nitin Gaur, Advisory Board Member at Stanford University.
The current cohort boasts an acceptance rate of 2.6% with an average SAT score of 1475, with many students even turning down offers from prestigious institutions like Dartmouth, King’s College, Imperial, and Warwick to join Tetr.
Some of the remarkable profiles from Southeast Asia include;
- Heedong from Vietnam, who has a STEM background with experience as a mobile app developer (Mohe), and is the co-founder of MIV Ignite, an educational startup teaching entrepreneurship to high school students.
- Jerome Tan from Singapore, co-founder of a startup, NYXTable, which aims to streamline bookings, dynamic social matching & networking.
Tetr’s partnerships with top universities like the National University of Singapore (NUS), SDA Bocconi, UBI Business School, the Indian Institute of Technology, and the strong entrepreneurial ecosystem in Singapore are key highlights of the program.
Students will benefit from the vibrant business landscapes of South East Asia, gaining practical knowledge by building an e-commerce business in Dubai and leveraging Silicon Valley’s ecosystem for a tech startup.
The students are currently engaging with each other in meetups being held in the US, UK, UAE, India, and Vietnam. Tetr’s highly experiential, immersive 4-year program will see students travel and study across 7 countries (USA, Italy, Singapore, Brazil, UAE, India, Ghana). In addition to opportunities such as designing a hardware product in Singapore, students will also learn content creation in Milan, launch green initiatives in Rio De Janeiro, and develop a consumer business in India. Tetr has offered scholarships worth up to INR 2 crore each to exceptional talent keen on joining their maiden batch. Pratham Mittal, Founder, Tetr College of Business, said, “Creating a well-rounded first cohort of exceptional talent from across the globe was our primary focus. Beyond academic excellence, we sought students who have ventured into unique paths and embraced diverse experiences. We are excited to welcome 80+ such exceptional individuals, many of whom had offers from some of the most prestigious global institutions. This blend of academic rigour, entrepreneurial drive, and unique experiences makes them ideal candidates to thrive in our program and emerge as future leaders in business and society.”
