MVP Group’s big boss Manuel V. Pangilinan recently gathered his chief information officers (CIOs) in a strategic huddle to discuss data.

With the shared vision of accelerating data and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities across the MVP group, the MVP Group Chief Information Officers (CIO) Council forge a groundbreaking data and digital innovation collaboration to drive value and future-proof services for Filipinos.

In a courtesy call to MVP Group Chairman Manuel V Pangilinan catalyzed by Kayana Solutions (formerly DigiCo), the MVP Group CIO Council, along with the Kayana leadership team, presented to Pangilinan their signed pledge to drive innovation and operational efficiency.

“My challenge to you is not simply to handle data wisely and responsibly, but to leverage it to respond to the most pressing needs of our customers and our country. Don’t be afraid to use data to help our people,” said Pangilinan, who also sits as Kayana CEO, addressing his group’s CIOs.

Bayad, Meralco, and Kayana First Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Rocky Bacani, Maynilad Senior Vice President and CIO Francisco Castillo, Mediaquest CIO Vicky De Leon, Metro Pacific Health Group Chief Technology Officer Rogelio Umali, Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation First Vice President and CIO Carlo Cagalingan, mWell Chief Strategy and Technology Officer Albert Padin, PLDT Senior Vice President and Head of Enterprise Jojo Gendrano, and Smart First Vice President and Head of IT and Transformation Office Gilbert Gaw of the MVP CIO Council have been meeting for strategic alignment around data and AI, identifying concerns and challenges, and identifying ways to synergize across the organization, by leveraging cutting-edge technology to create value and growth.
