BSB Junrose reinvigorates campaign vs. counterfeit parts

Ian Bangayan, BSB Junrose president

Multibrand aftermarket automotive parts company BSB Junrose has reinvigorated its efforts to combat the proliferation of fake aftermarket parts through its authentication program.

Ian Bangayan, BSB Junrose president, said the company’s QS Seal authentication is not really new, and has been in the market for years now.

Bangayan added that: “This will be the first conversation about our QS Seal authentication.”

“We feel that now is the appropriate time, especially with the growing array of BSB products,” Bangayan said.

The executive said counterfeit products have entered the market, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. He noted that fake global brands found their way to the Philippine market and are often peddled on the streets by unscrupulous vendors.

He said the seal found on products carried by BSB Junrose actually has enhanced security features to make sure buyers are buying original items.

In this video, Bangayan further explains the company’s QS Seal authentication initiative.

Partnerships

BSB Junrose Corporation meanwhile expanded its brand offerings through exclusive partnerships with Liqui Moly and Japan’s Tokico.

Liqui Moly is the most popular motor oil brand in Germany to its roster of powerful brands from across the globe, while Japan’s Tokico brand (with an equally rich history dating back to 1946), which is now under Hitachi Astemo, is a global leader in advanced shock absorbers, struts, and coilovers.

The companies made the announcement during the 2024 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), which took place from October 24 to 27 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
