The Philippines is top beach, diving destination for 2024

Philippines is leading beach destination.

Amanpulo in Palawan was named Asia’s Leading Private Island Resort in 2024, while El Nido Resorts Apulit Island was awarded Asia’s Leading Sustainable Resort in 2024. Atmosphere Resorts & Spa was voted Asia’s Leading Dive Resort 2024, and Boracay won Asia’s Leading Luxury Island Destination Award 2024.

The Philippines clinched Asia’s Leading Island Destination and Leading Beach Destination 2024 awards, while the pristine reefs of the Philippines were voted the World’s Leading Dive Destination in 2024 at the recent 31st Annual World Travel Awards.

The Department of Tourism’s Love the Philippines was awarded Asia’s Leading Marketing Campaign 2024 Award, while Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco was voted the Transformational Leader in Tourism Governance 2024.

Intramuros in Manila was awarded Asia’s Leading Tourist Attraction 2024, while Cebu clinched “Asia’s Leading Wedding Destination 2024. Vivere Zaure was named Asia’s Leading Boutique Resort 2024,” while Discovery Primea was awarded “Asia’s Leading Business Hotel 2024.

Ascott Makati clinched Asia’s Leading Serviced Apartments Award 2024, while City of Dreams Manila was voted Asia’s leading Casino Resort in 2024, and Admiral Hotel Manila – MGallery was Asia’s Leading Design Hotel 2024. Raffles Makati was awarded Asia’s Leading Hotel Residences 2024.

Other winners

The other Philippine travel agencies nominated for the award were 2GO Travel, Golden Sky Travel and Tours, Scorpio Travel & Tours, and Vansol Travel & Tours.

Asian, Oceania destinations

Vietnam took the title of Asia’s Leading Destination while the beautiful Ha Giang province was named Asia’s Leading Regional Cultural Destination, and Ho Chi Minh City collected Asia’s Leading Business Travel Destination’. Hong Kong Tourism Board was named Asia’s Leading Tourist Board and Bali claimed the title of Asia’s Most Romantic Destination.

New Zealand confirmed its reputation as the land with it all to secure Oceania’s Leading Destination. Sydney won ‘Oceania’s Leading City Destination.

Fiji Tourism lifted the trophy for Oceania’s Leading Tourist Board. The fusion of ancient storytelling with a technological twist helped Wintjiri Wiru – Ayers Rock Resort, Uluṟu to win the title for Oceania’s Leading Tourist Attraction.

In the hospitality sector, W Osaka was voted Asia’s Leading Hotel, with Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort taking Asia’s Leading Resort. InterContinental Grand Stanford emerged victorious as ‘Hong Kong’s Leading Hotel. Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts claimed, Asia’s Leading Luxury Hotel Brand.

The Ascott Limited enjoyed a double celebration, winning Asia’s Leading Serviced Apartment Brand. Vietravel claimed Asia’s Leading Tour Operator.

AirAsia won double awards, winning the World’s Leading Low-Cost Airline and World’s Leading Low-Cost Airline Cabin Crew.
