The Toyota Tamaraw, a popular utility vehicle that’s known for its durability and versatility, is indeed back in the Philippines.

2. Robust design and platform
The Toyota Tamaraw is built on the IMV (Innovative International Multipurpose Vehicle) platform, making it capable of handling tough conditions and heavy loads.
This platform is shared with other popular Toyota models like the Hilux, Innova, and Fortuner. It was also used for the Tamaraws which became very popular in the Philippines decades ago.
3. Powerful engine
The new Tamaraw comes with a powerful engine that delivers ample power and torque, ensuring smooth performance.
The 2025 Toyota Tamaraw is available in two engine variants:
A 2.4-liter turbodiesel engine (2GD-FTV), with 150 horsepower, 343 Nm of torque for the 5-speed manual and 400 Nm of torque for the 6-speed automatic.
The second variant is a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with 137 horsepower and183 Nm of torque
The diesel engine is available with both a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission, while the gasoline engine is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission.

The Tamaraw offers various seating configurations to accommodate different needs, whether it’s transporting passengers or cargo.
