- Introducing Mini Dapps and Dapp Portal where users can discover, play, earn rewards and trade digital assets directly from LINE Messenger
- 32 Mini Dapps launched, aiming to launch more than 1,000 projects in 2025
SEONGNAM, South Korea-LINE NEXT Inc., LINE’s venture dedicated to developing and expanding the Web3 ecosystem, has launched Mini Dapps and Dapp Portal powered by the Kaia blockchain, available to users around the world.
Designed to make the Web3 user experience seamless and intuitive, Mini Dapps are accessible directly on LINE Messenger and through the Dapp Portal’s Official Accounts without downloading a separate application.
On Dapp Portal, users can search, discover, and engage with a wide range of Mini Dapps in categories such as games, social media, and Web3-enabled content. Mini Dapps can also be found through each of their LINE Official Accounts, the account service of enterprises or brands on LINE Messenger.
In addition, the in-app digital wallet integrated into LINE Messenger allows users to earn rewards for engaging with each Mini Dapp, and trade digital assets and NFTs without hassle. LINE NEXT will also add the Dapp Portal segment to the LINE Messenger home tab while launching a web version of Dapp Portal that is accessible without installing the LINE Messenger mobile app in the future. Further details about using Mini Dapps can be found on Dapp Portal’s Medium channel. (https://lin.ee/CAvy5jQ/qbko)
Designed to identify and empower excellent Web3 developers on the Kaia chain, the Kaia Wave program, jointly operated by LINE NEXT and Kaia DLT Foundation, significantly contributed to the development of Mini Dapps. LINE NEXT’s software development kit (SDK) also accelerated the building of Mini Dapps, helping them seamlessly operate in the LINE Messenger ecosystem. The first inaugural batch of Mini Dapps include:
- Bombie and Cattea developed by Pluto Studio, whose mini-app project attracted 43 million users in just six months and achieved No.1 in sales volume
- Captain Tsubasa -RIVALS- on LINE, a game based on the popular soccer manga Captain Tsubasa
- Superz, a healthcare and wellness gateway Dapp for non-crypto users, seamlessly blending fitness habits and tangible rewards
- All told, LINE NEXT aims to introduce more than 1,000 projects by the end of 2025.
