Five more hotels in the Philippines have made it onto the prestigious Michelin Guide Hotels list, bringing the total number of recognized properties in the country to 11, the state-controlled Philippine News Agency (PNA) said.
The new additions include Fairmont Makati, known for its elegant interiors and central location in the city’s business district; Manila Marriott Hotel at Newport World Resorts, which offers luxury accommodations and direct access to dining and entertainment options; Solaire Resort Entertainment City, a five-star integrated resort with world-class gaming, dining, and theater experiences; Raffles Makati, a boutique-style hotel praised for its personalized service and sophisticated charm; and Shangri-La The Fort, Manila, a towering luxury hotel in Bonifacio Global City with extensive leisure and dining facilities.
They join the six properties that were previously recognized in 2024: Admiral Hotel Manila – MGallery, Amanpulo, Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan, Hotel Okura Manila, Nay Palad Hideaway, and The Peninsula Manila.
The Department of Tourism (DOT) welcomed the news over the weekend, calling it a proud moment for the country’s hospitality industry.
“The inclusion of these DOT-accredited hotels in the Michelin Guide not only strengthens the Philippines’ positioning as a destination of choice for world-class hotel and tourism experiences, but also affirms the renowned Filipino warmth and excellence in hospitality, which serve as hallmarks of the country’s tourism brand under the Marcos administration,” the DOT said in a statement.
Earlier this year, Michelin announced it would be launching its first-ever guide dedicated to the Philippines, expected to be released in 2026.
