Broadband and prepaid fiber subscriptions also surge in Q1 2025, as Globe sharpens focus on meaningful digital access for all Filipinos.
Globe Telecom continues to strengthen its position as a leading digital solutions platform in the Philippines, expanding its mobile subscriber base to 61.6 million as of end-March 2025—up 5% from 58.8 million in the same period last year.
The company’s broadband subscribers also rose to 1.83 million, reflecting a growing demand for reliable internet access across Filipino households.
These growth milestones were highlighted in Globe’s first quarter 2025 performance report, which pointed to the company’s continued push for customer-first innovation as the driving force behind its expansion.
“We’re building a company around people, not just products,” said Globe President and CEO Carl Cruz. “Every solution we create is rooted in empathy and designed to solve real problems—from enabling online learning and seamless video calls to supporting small businesses with digital payments.”
This approach is paying off: 87% of Globe’s Q1 service revenues came from data services, up from 85% in the previous year, underscoring the Philippines’ increasing shift to a digital-first lifestyle—one Globe is enabling at scale.
A major contributor to this growth is GFiber Prepaid (GFP), Globe’s innovative reloadable fiber product. GFP is reshaping home connectivity by offering affordable, on-demand fiber internet tailored to underserved and income-sensitive markets. In Q1 2025, GFP posted a remarkable 53% quarter-on-quarter subscriber growth, with a 70% reload rate—the highest among prepaid fiber offerings in the country.
Customer sentiment reflects this strong performance. GFP earned a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 67 as of April, a powerful indicator of customer satisfaction and trust among value-conscious households.
“These numbers show that our customers recognize the value of what we offer,” Cruz added. “We’ll continue to invest in innovation and push the boundaries of technology, but always through the lens of customer experience. When we lead with empathy, real impact follows.”
As Globe scales its digital footprint, its focus remains clear: build meaningful solutions that empower more Filipinos to thrive in the connected world.
