Huawei has launched two new consumer tech products in the Philippines: the nova Y73 smartphone and FreeBuds 6 wireless earbuds.
Both devices are designed to offer a balance of performance and affordability, with features geared toward everyday use.
Long-lasting battery and durable design on nova Y73
The nova Y73 is equipped with a 6620mAh battery that can deliver up to 1.4 days of video playback, 2.6 days of music streaming, and 2.2 days of call time on a single charge.
The phone supports 40W Huawei SuperCharge Turbo, allowing for quick top-ups—a 10-minute charge provides around five hours of video playback.
Built with high-strength aluminum alloy, the nova Y73 features 360° protection and 5-star drop resistance certified by SGS. It can withstand drops from up to 1.8 meters and has an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. Despite its robust construction, the phone retains a slim profile, accentuated by its Dynamic Plaid textured finish.
Smarter features for daily convenience
The nova Y73 introduces the Huawei X-Button, a programmable shortcut key that provides quick access to apps and tools with single or double presses. The phone also includes an infrared smart remote function, allowing it to control home appliances. Running on EMUI 12, the device includes built-in privacy and security features and comes with 256GB of internal storage.
FreeBuds 6 offers dual-driver, open-fit audio
Huawei’s FreeBuds 6 earbuds bring a new design to open-fit wireless audio. They are the first of their kind to feature a dual-driver unit combined with Huawei Sound technology. The earbuds support high-resolution audio transmission up to 2.3Mbps and come with AI-powered noise cancellation for clearer calls.
With a sleek, droplet-shaped design, the FreeBuds 6 aim to provide a secure, comfortable fit while delivering a balanced sound experience.
Launch offers available online
Early buyers can claim exclusive discounts and freebies. From June 13 to July 31, early bird vouchers worth P300 for the nova Y73 are available on TikTok, Shopee, and Lazada. FreeBuds 6 buyers can receive a P500 voucher, a free umbrella worth P900, and a one-year Huawei Loss Care package for discounted replacement of a single earbud.
