LG unveils 2025 TV lineup with new AI features and display upgrades

LG

LG Electronics has introduced its 2025 TV lineup, featuring upgrades in AI processing, display performance, and smart controls.

The new models mark 12 years of OLED innovation for the company and include enhancements across its OLED evo and QNED evo series.

The televisions are powered by LG’s updated α-series AI processors—namely the α11 AI Processor Gen2, α9 Gen8, and α8 Gen2—designed to improve picture and sound quality while offering more tailored content suggestions and intuitive control options.

Updated OLED and QNED evo TVs expand display options

Leading the new lineup is the OLED evo AI G5, offering enhanced visual clarity and a minimalist design. Mid-range and entry-level options include the OLED evo AI C5 with Brightness Booster and the OLED AI B5, which emphasizes natural color reproduction.

LG also introduced new QNED evo models with Dynamic QNED Color technology, designed to improve color vibrancy and contrast. A new 100-inch QNED screen option is now available for viewers seeking larger formats.

AI-powered processors enable real-time learning and smarter visuals

The α11 AI Processor Gen2, used in LG’s higher-end OLED models, is engineered for smooth playback of fast-moving content and premium visuals. The α9 and α8 processors target lifelike imagery and consistent performance for general viewing. These chips support adaptive sound and intelligent upscaling based on scene and user preferences.

Personalized experiences and smarter controls

LG’s 2025 models introduce Voice ID, a feature that recognizes individual users and automatically switches to personalized profiles. The TVs also suggest relevant content, offer custom Quick Cards, and support a redesigned AI Concierge interface.

A refreshed AI Magic Remote comes standard with the lineup. The remote now features a dedicated AI button for voice interaction and a new Home button that gives access to the TV’s connected ecosystem. The point-and-click functionality remains unchanged.

Built-in AI chatbot simplifies troubleshooting

A built-in AI chatbot, introduced in earlier models and now updated, provides on-screen help and diagnostics. Users can ask questions like “Why does my TV turn on by itself?” and receive tailored solutions through the system’s interface.

Availability and more information

LG’s 2025 TVs are designed to adapt to user habits over time while maintaining picture and sound quality across a range of content. The new models aim to blend technology and lifestyle, offering a viewing experience that responds to individual preferences.
