Smart Communications is offering free International Direct Dial (IDD) calls, data roaming, and access to a crisis hotline for Filipinos in Iran and Israel as part of its ongoing emergency support efforts from June 23 to 25.

The initiative, under the “Smart Cares” program, aims to help overseas Filipinos stay connected with their families during heightened tensions in the region. An estimated 31,800 Filipinos live and work in both countries, representing more than 150,000 family members anxiously awaiting news from their loved ones.

Smart prepaid and postpaid subscribers can make free landline and mobile calls to Iran and Israel during the three-day period, subject to a fair use policy of five minutes per call.

Smart is also providing free GigaRoam Global 1GB data roaming to subscribers currently in Israel, allowing them to stay online without extra charges.

Additionally, Smart has activated a toll-free Smart Care Crisis Hotline at +63288457799. The hotline offers assistance to users facing connectivity issues, having trouble contacting loved ones or Philippine government offices, or in need of verified updates and safety advisories.

“In times of uncertainty, the most important thing we can offer is presence—and communication is how we show up for each other,” said Anastacio “Boy” Martirez, Chief Operating Officer of Smart. “This is our way of standing with Filipino families, wherever they are.”

Smart is coordinating with international partners to maintain stable service and will continue to post updates through its official channels.
