Reliable internet is key to NSPIRE’s mission of digitizing government services

The COVID-19 pandemic put the spotlight on how essential internet connectivity has become—not just for everyday communication, but for driving digital transformation.

In the Philippines, that transformation is taking shape through the National Fiber Backbone plan, a government project aimed at improving efficiency and access to public services by linking key offices nationwide by 2025.

Playing a key role in this effort is NSPIRE Inc., a homegrown enterprise solutions provider based in Bataan.

Founded in 2015 by CEO Harold Macapagal, NSPIRE specializes in custom software applications for government use, particularly in HR and finance. Over the years, the company has built a full suite of tools to support the entire employee lifecycle—from onboarding to retirement.

What sets NSPIRE apart, according to Macapagal, is their focus on integration. “We focus on the interoperability of the applications we develop. That’s what sets us apart,” he said. “We’ve built a team with expertise in different areas of software development, and that makes a big difference.”

But delivering reliable service and support to government clients requires more than just talent. It also demands uninterrupted internet connectivity. “All our work is stored in an online repository that’s linked to our staff,” Macapagal shared. “If they can’t access it, then they can’t work that day.”

Before switching providers, NSPIRE struggled with unreliable internet and inconsistent customer service. “There were times when we urgently needed help. Three separate technical teams were dispatched, probably because they just sent whoever was closest. It was chaotic, and our operations suffered,” he added.

Shifting to Converge: A game changer

The frustration led NSPIRE to switch to Converge flexiBIZ, a move Macapagal calls game-changing. Aside from high-speed fiber, what mattered most was Converge’s commitment to keeping their systems online. “The main requirement for our business is to stay connected,” he explained. “Converge made sure we had no downtime. They kept their promise—we don’t get disconnected.”

With a reliable digital backbone now in place, NSPIRE is better positioned to do what it does best: build innovative, efficient software solutions for government partners. The confidence they’ve gained in their internet provider has allowed them to expand and serve more clients without worrying about interruptions.

For NSPIRE, dependable connectivity isn’t just a convenience—it’s a cornerstone of their mission to help government agencies go fully digital.
