Qantas has announced it is boosting its network from Manila, with extra flights and a refreshed schedule to Brisbane.
From later this year, the national carrier will increase its Manila-Brisbane service from four to five return flights per week, operated by its Airbus A330 aircraft. This will add more than 25,000 seats annually between the two cities.
The expansion comes just one year after Qantas commenced flying on the route, reflecting the growing demand for travel between the Filipino and Queensland capitals.
From October 27, 2025, flight times will also be adjusted to better suit travellers. Southbound services will operate overnight, arriving in Brisbane the following morning, while northbound flights will depart Brisbane in the early afternoon to arrive in Manila in the evening.
Tourism Research Australia’s latest International Visitor Survey highlights the growing interest of Filipino travellers in Australia, with Filipinos making over 162,000 trips for the year ending March 2025.

Qantas comments on growing demand
Qantas International CEO Cam Wallace said: “As trade and tourism links between the Philippines and Australia continue to strengthen, Manila is an important and growing market for Qantas. Since commencing services late last year, we’ve been delighted with how popular our Brisbane flights have been and are pleased to be offering customers more connections and greater flexibility when travelling from Manila.”
