The Pokémon Company is proud to announce the following news about Pokémon Pokopia, a new title for Nintendo Switch 2. The Pokémon Company, GAME FREAK inc., and KOEI TECMO GAMES jointly led the planning and development of this title.
Pokémon Pokopia to be released on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026
During the Nintendo Direct broadcast, it was confirmed that the Nintendo Switch 2 title Pokémon Pokopia will launch in 2026.
Pre-orders for the digital version will be available through the Nintendo eShop and My Nintendo Store beginning Wednesday, November 12.
A Ditto begins a new life with Pokémon
In this title, you play as a Ditto that has transformed into a human. Players can craft items using materials such as wood and stones, collect berries to share with Pokémon, and build a cozy home for all to enjoy.
Ditto, known for its ability to transform, can learn moves from Pokémon it encounters, steadily expanding its skills. For example, you can use Leafage, learned from Bulbasaur, to add greenery, or Water Gun, learned from Squirtle, to help plants thrive.
A lush, inviting environment will surely attract a variety of Pokémon.
A relaxing life linked to real-world time
Pokémon Pokopia’s in-game time is synchronized with real-world time.
Players can enjoy a relaxing life with dynamic weather changes and the company of unique Pokémon who live nearby. Activities include collecting rocks and wood, crafting furniture, growing vegetables, and building houses for Pokémon.
Over time, players can create a thriving town of their own, inviting Pokémon and even other players to visit.
