Announced at Zoomtopia 2025, the company’s annual flagship conference, the launch highlights Zoom’s vision for AI-first capabilities designed to transform how teams work.

AI Companion 3.0 integrates with Zoom Workplace and third-party applications to provide conversational insights, streamline administrative tasks, and help users deliver higher-quality work faster.
Uncover deeper insights
With agentic AI, AI Companion can retrieve and synthesize internal enterprise knowledge — such as meeting transcripts, chat history, and shared documents — and combine it with external insights from market research and industry data. A unified, context-aware search ensures critical information is available at the right time.
AI note-taking has also been enhanced. Paid Zoom Workplace users can now apply AI-assisted notes in all Zoom meetings, in-person discussions, and even meetings on other platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and WebEx (coming soon).
Optimize the workday
Proactive agentic skills allow AI Companion to manage busywork and keep users focused on priorities. New functions such as “free up my time,” meeting preparation, group assistance, and in-meeting recommendations deliver essential information when needed.
Outcome-driven prompts also help users identify, prioritize, and complete tasks across meetings, phone calls, chats, and emails, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
Deliver high-quality work faster
AI Companion acts as a collaboration partner that already understands users’ context, projects, and frequent conversations. It provides suggested actions and tailored responses to enhance outputs with minimal input.
A new AI work surface, available in web browsers and the Zoom Workplace desktop app, offers a unified AI experience. It dynamically adapts, turning scattered information into actionable intelligence.
With expanded writing assistance and research capabilities, users can generate comprehensive, data-driven reports and polished documents using both internal and external sources.
Advanced AI platform innovations
Zoom is expanding its communication features with lifelike meeting avatars, automated presentation clips, and support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP), enabling customers and developers to configure tools for customer and virtual agents.
New real-time voice translation for Zoom Meetings further strengthens global collaboration. A recent independent evaluation found Zoom’s real-time captions 28% more accurate than competitors for English-to-French and 14% more accurate for English-to-Spanish.
Customized solutions
The new Custom AI Companion empowers organizations to create and deploy tailored AI agents with a low-code builder, pre-built templates, and third-party integrations. Using the Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol, these agents can coordinate tasks across applications.
AI Companion 3.0 will be generally available in November 2025 at no additional cost for paid Zoom Workplace accounts. The Custom AI Companion add-on is available for $12 per user, per month.
Zoom Business Services supercharges experiences
Zoom is extending agentic AI to its Customer Experience (CX) suite and Zoom Virtual Agent (ZVA), enhancing both customer and employee interactions. New features include:
- Agentic AI Expert Assist to automate support tasks
- CX Insights to extract business intelligence from customer data
- Automated Quality Management for monitoring virtual agent performance
- A “bring your own voice” capability in ZVA for consistent brand-aligned conversations
For sales teams, the Zoom Revenue Accelerator (ZRA) adds AI-driven prospecting, scanning event lists and lead sources to identify high-potential prospects and initiate outreach across email, SMS, and other channels.
